Rashay Layman, a seasoned public relations professional based in Columbus, Ohio, brings a rich background in advocacy and energy policy. Her journey began at Thomas Worthington High School and continued at Muskingum College, where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Business. In her early career, Rashay held influential roles with Working America and the Sierra Club, driving environmental campaigns and raising awareness on key issues.
After a break to raise her two children, Rashay returned with an MBA, shifting her focus to the energy sector, where she managed utility projects and founded Sown Strategies, a public relations and consulting firm. She now serves as the Senior Public Relations Manager at ESA. Deeply involved in her community, Rashay also leads a Girl Scout troop and has served on the board of CHOICE, a nonprofit supporting homebirth options.
